In 1965 graduated from Sumy engineering College with a degree in refrigeration and compressor engineering.

From 1965 to 1969 worked at Sumy machine-building plant by the name of M. V. Frunze in mechanical Assembly shop, specializing in the production of large piston compressors, as a technologist.

In 1972 graduated from the Leningrad technological Institute of refrigeration industry and qualified as a mechanical engineer of refrigeration and compressor engineering.

Since 1975, works at the CVRE Department. During the career he passed the following positions: engineer, senior engineer, Junior researcher, senior researcher, associate Professor. Since 2019, Associate Professor at the Higher School of Power Engineering, SPbPU.

During his work took an active part in the design studies of the centrifugal compressor of ultrahigh pressure, in the design work on the creation of an experimental multi-purpose closed-loop stand.

From 1981 to 1990 took an active part in experimental studies at the specified stand on the development of model stages for high and ultrahigh pressure compressors.

In 1994 defended his PhD thesis on » Improving the efficiency of high and ultrahigh pressure centrifugal compressors low-flow stages based on the study of the Reynolds number and roughness influence on the working processes.»

He participated in a number of calculation methods development: calculation of processes in the centrifugal compressor stages taking into account the reality of gas, rotation critical speeds calculation of turbocompressor shafts, calculation of multistage centrifugal compressors axial forces, etc.
