Representatives of the scientific group provide scientific guidance and scientific advice in the preparation of dissertations for the degree of Candidate of Science and Doctor of Science through the attachment of the applicant to the organization (university) for the preparation of the dissertation.

The scientific specialty, in which the defense will take place, and the dissertation council corresponding to the scientific specialty are determined on the basis of the scientific content of the thesis.
